OK, I know this page is ostensibly about us…but let’s start by talking about YOU for a minute.
You’ve got an idea.
Maybe it’s a Truckee Tahoe guide service, maybe it’s a restaurant. Or it could be a book, or a coffeehouse, or a catering company…
Find, connect, build.
Whatever it is, it’s uniquely yours, you’re building it, and it’s already awesome. Now all you need to do is:
- Find the people who will love it
- Introduce yourself to them, and
- Build relationships that will turn those people into lifelong fans
THIS is the magic trick (a.k.a. hard work) that can turn your fledgling business into a full-time career.
But there’s a Catch-22 here: if you’re busy chasing your local business dream correctly, the process of identifying these people and building the online infrastructure to reach them is exactly what you don’t have time for.
That’s why I’m here
Hi, I’m Mike. I started Elevation Works basically because I was once an entrepreneur with ideas (songs and albums, in my case) and no clue what to do next.
I knew that I needed to find people who liked my music and connect with them, and that I needed to build digital infrastructure that would make all this possible, but all the available info explaining this was written for people with computer science degrees.
This kinda made me mad.
So I taught myself how to take that language and translate it into real person talk, and determined what elements of the business canon local entrepreneurs needed to understand and which were irrelevant to our special case.
And I learned how to translate this knowledge into code, to build an online machine laser-focused on accomplishing my business goals.
Change the world (a little)
But a funny thing happened along the way; I discovered that once I’d learned how to code websites, find customers and clients, and design a custom brand strategy, I actually enjoyed using that knowledge to help other people begin to turn their ideas and visions into real-life businesses.
So, that’s why I started Elevation Works, to empower other Truckee Tahoe entrepreneurs and local business owners who want to take control of their own careers, to succeed on their own terms, to change the world (at least a little bit) with their ideas.

Then we’ll deliver a detailed strategy for everything we can build to take the internet off your plate and let you get back to the work that you do best.

Time to get our hands dirty! We’ll get down into the digital trenches and get busy building machines, connections and systems custom-designed to apply some serious acceleration to your business growth.
We’ll be doing the work, but you’ll be in contact and in charge every step of the way, so we’re all sure that your needs are taken care of and your voice, vision and requirements are deep in the DNA of everything we create.
04. Houston, we have liftoff
Once your project is ready to go, and we push the big green button to bring it into the real world, we’ll be right there with you to make sure it makes it off the launch pad intact.
And we’ll keep a close eye on everything to make sure it works the way it’s supposed to, as well as provide any necessary tweaks or updates to get all the moving parts working smoothly together and generating the results we’re looking for.
